Even further into the Depths!

Spelunking Depths is a game created by Tim Boccio in Unreal Engine 4. Originally it was conceived as a game where players could collaboratively explore and develop a vast open world. This is meant to be similar to the "Social Strand System" introduced by the video game Death Stranding (Kojima Productions, 2019). In reference to that, the name of this game was originally Depths Spelunking.

The version published here is a much simpler game about collecting gems and represents the first step toward creating something more ambitious.

Other inspirations for Spelunking Depths include various popular and influential cave exploration games. They include Metroid (Nintendo, 1986), Super Metroid (Nintendo, 1994), Cave Story (Pixel, 2004), and Hollow Knight (Team Cherry, 2017).
